Canadian Software Testing Board
The CSTB (Canadian Software Testing Board) is the Canadian national branch of the ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board). With over 1.1 million exams issued and 800,000+ certifications in over 130 countries, ISTQB is the leading global certification scheme in the field of software testing.
The CSTB advocates education and examination as a practical means to excel in the software testing field. In addition to individual certification, we provide opportunities for organizations to become accredited ISTQB Training providers and ISTQB Partners. The CSTB recognizes the importance of continuous improvement in testing processes and supports the Test Maturity Model Integration (TMMi) as an independent guideline and reference framework for test process improvement. We became the Canadian Chapter of TMMI in 2020.
The CSTB was founded on January 12, 2007. Since then, we have proudly increased education opportunities and granted certification for thousands of testers in Canada while also strengthening the software testing community across the country. These Directors work on a voluntary basis on the board. All are specialists, practitioners, consultants and trainers that have experience in software testing and quality assurance related positions in Canada.
