ISTQB® releases new Certified Tester Foundation Level 2018 CTFL Syllabus

The International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB®) General Assembly has approved the new 2018 version of the ISTQB® Certified Tester Foundation Level syllabus for general release. Foundation Level is core to the ISTQB® Certified Tester Scheme providing essential understanding and knowledge to anyone involved in testing. The updates reflect market feedback and the current state of the software testing industry.
The release consists of the ISTQB® Foundation Level 2018 syllabus, an Overview document, Accreditation guidelines, Glossary items and terms, Release Notes including traceability on Learning Objectives level from the 2011 to the 2018 syllabus, Exam Structure and Rules and 2 Sample Exams.
The ISTQB® has provided the new 2018 Foundation Level syllabus as follows: To ISTQB Member Boards, to translate into their local language and to accredit training providers. Member boards may adapt the syllabus to their particular language needs and modify the references to adapt to their local glossary terms. To certification bodies, to derive examination questions in their local language adapted to the learning objectives for this syllabus To training providers, to produce courseware and determine appropriate teaching methods To certification candidates, to prepare for the certification exam (either as part of a training course or independently) To the international software and systems engineering community, to advance the profession of software and systems testing, and as a basis for books and articles The following sunset rules are effective: Within 12 months from 4th June 2018 all training providers must accredit/re-accredit for the 2018 syllabus if training/material is accredited for delivery in English (expected end date 4th June 2019). Within 18 months from 4th June 2018 all training providers must accredit/re-accredit for the 2018 syllabus if training/material is accredited for delivery in a non-English language (expected end date 4th December 2019). Within 12 months from 4th June 2018 all English language 2011 syllabus exams will be withdrawn (expected end date 4th June 2019). Within 18 months from 4th June 2018 all non-English language 2011 syllabus exams will be withdrawn (expected end date 4th December 2019). More Information is available on the ISTQB® website. L’assemblée générale de l’ISTQB® a approuvé la nouvelle version 2018 du syllabus pour les testeurs certifiés de niveau fondation. Le niveau fondation est au cœur de l’ISTQB® qui permet à toute personne impliquée dans les tests d’acquérir une meilleure compréhension et des connaissances essentielles sur les tests. Les mises à jour reflètent les commentaires du marché et l’état actuel de l’industrie des tests logiciels.
La publication comprend le syllabus 2018 de l’ISTQB® de niveau fondation, un aperçu du document, les directives d’accréditation, les termes du glossaire, les notes de mise à jour incluant la traçabilité sur le niveau des objectifs d’apprentissage du syllabus de 2011 à 2018, la structure et les règles d’examen ainsi que 2 exemples d’examens.
L’ISTQB® a lancé son nouveau syllabus 2018 de niveau fondation comme suit: Aux conseils d’administration nationaux de l’ISTQBÒ, de traduire dans leur langue locale et d’accréditer les fournisseurs de formation. Les conseils d’administration nationaux peuvent adapter le programme à leurs besoins linguistiques particuliers et modifier les références pour les adapter aux termes de leur glossaire local. Aux organismes de certification, d’avoir des questions d’examen dans leur langue locale adaptées aux objectifs d’apprentissage de ce syllabus Pour les fournisseurs de formation, produire des didacticiels et déterminer les méthodes d’enseignements appropriées Aux candidats à la certification, se préparer à l’examen de certification (soit en suivant un cours de formation, soit manière autodidacte ou indépendante) À la communauté internationale des ingénieurs logiciels et systèmes, de faire progresser la profession de tests logiciels et systèmes comme base pour les livres et articles Les règles de temporisation suivantes sont efficaces: Dans les 12 mois à compter du 4 juin 2018, tous les fournisseurs de formation doivent être accrédités / ré-accrédités pour le syllabus 2018 si la formation / le matériel est accrédité en anglais (date de fin prévue 4 juin 2019) Dans les 18 mois à compter du 4 juin 2018, tous les fournisseurs de formation doivent être accrédités / ré-accrédités pour le syllabus 2018 si la formation / le matériel est accrédité dans une langue autre que l’anglais (date de fin prévue 4 décembre 2019). Dans les 12 mois à compter du 4 juin 2018, tous les examens du syllabus de langue anglaise 2011 seront retirés (date de fin prévue 4 juin 2019). Dans les 18 mois à compter du 4 juin 2018, tous les examens du syllabus de langue non anglaise 2011 seront retirés (date de fin prévue 4 décembre 2019).
