The Alliance 4 Qualification has the mission to create globally leading content and certification schemes in a independent environment. It was founded by different organizations with the aim to work independent from a specific exam provider or a specific training provider with a long term focus on lifelong learning. A4Q is a new independent place to strengthen quality in the field of training and certification.

A4Q Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) Foundation Level (English)
SDET
The goal of A4Q SDET certification is to impart basic testing skills to developers; it covers the essential knowledge from the test area that developers will find highly beneficial in their day to day work. A4Q SDET is not intended to “retrain” developers as testers but to increase competence and confidence in effectively selecting and using relevant testing approaches, methods and techniques during the development lifecycle. Note: The A4Q TF4D remains valid for anyone who has already achieved certification and individuals may be grandfathered to A4Q SDET.
A4Q Selenium Tester Foundation (English, French, Spanish, German)

Selenium is an Open Source Tool for automating web browser/web application testing. Many organisations use proprietary tools from tools vendors that are integrated with Selenium so Selenium skills are very useful. The A4Q Selenium Tester Foundation certification is based on a practical training course aimed at test professionals who desire an understanding of how to design, implement and maintain automated solutions using Selenium WebDriver.
A4Q Foundation Level Tester for Appium® (English)
The A4Q Foundation Level Tester for Appium® Certification attests to an individual’s understanding and knowledge of mobile application testing and automating native, hybrid and mobile web apps on Android, iOS and Windows platforms, using the Appium® automated testing tool. Appium® gives the ability to automate mobile app testing by using any supported programming language and test framework with full access to interfaces. This syllabus includes ready to use examples with Java as the programming language. The syllabus forms the basis of the A4Q Foundation Level Tester for Appium® training course which will include hands-on exercises. ISTQB® syllabi may be referenced but the content is NOT examinable in the A4Q Foundation Level Tester for Appium Certification exam.
